I thought I’d share the new Spring STITCH magazine. The cover shot is really pretty and it has a ton of great projects in this issue! I can’t believe how many bag/purse patterns are in this issue. What a deal!

I wrote an article about how to make your own custom clay buttons. As a seamstress it can be challenging to find the perfect button for certain projects, solo why not make your own. The article covers all the ins and outs of making different kinds of clay buttons as well as a 2-pages of step outs that model making a twig designed button. Very cool.

I also designed this sling bag in Pat Bravo’s Summer Love Fabric and jazzed up the front with a hand-made clay toggle. I can’t wait to take that bag to the Charleston Saturday Market.

No I am not dead, but I am sure that my blog feels like I am. That’s because I have been ignoring anything that had to do with my website/blog. This was not necessarily a rational decision. I’ve just been working so hard on my new pattern line that I couldn’t handle anything else. Super excited about the new pattern line though!

The spring issue of STITCH magazine just showed up in the mail today. Yea!

My little girls lined Oil Cloth Poncho is perfect for spring rain. It is made up in aqua and red polka dots and it’s all about cuteness. Check out that handmade ladybug toggle at the neck.

A Surfer Girl Birthday Part

October 15, 2012

We celebrated Ellie’s Birthday surfer style this year. We were way to lazy to go to the actual beach with 7 little girls and it wasn’t  hot enough to be in the ocean. We did however enjoy the gorgeous 78 degree day and the endless giggles and screams from all these silly girls jumping on [...]

My Baby Hit Double Digits!

October 11, 2012

Ellie, our youngest turned 10 yesterday. Wow! I can hardly belive it. It seems to her momma that just yesterday this was our little Ellie. …and now she’s growing up.   Her family woke her up early before school with our tradition of birthday spanks. After all it’s not really your birthday until you get spanked! We [...]
