It’s late. Like 11:30pm late and I just got back from a creative and crafty event called “Momtrepreneur Market” that my friend Rachael James put on in Park Circle, SC at Mixon ( a super cool little community in an urban area of Charleston). Rachael gathered up a bunch of talented and hardworking artists who just happen to also be fabulous women and put on a relaxing and inspiring Christmas in July shopping event. Nevermind that it was 95 today and we had hot thundershowers all afternoon. The rain cooled down the earth and the coastal breeze came through as the sun set on the little mom’s booths under the canopy of the barn at Mixon. I was struck at the fact that I’ve only lived here two years I have met a great community of really talented and wonderful women. Not all of them are “crafty”; some are more “classy” than “crafty” and some are just rocking business babes (a.k.a Dana), but they are all pretty great and I wanted to introduce you to some of the ladies I know.
I’ll start off my brag session tonight with my friend Rachael. Rachael James is the owner of Lily Carriers. Rachael makes custom slings from beautiful fabrics that are absolutely delish. She always has a few slings sewn up or you can get one custom made by picking your own fabrics. A lot of love and experience goes into these slings and Rachael can fill you in on all the upsides of “wearing” your baby. Rachael is also the mom of 4 little ones and somehow finds the time to run a business. She is also a super generous person who is willing to help anyone! Check out her awesome slings…
